Our PhD student @TheKnightlyPhD put together an exhibit of Ifor Williams's letters held in the archives. The exhibit explores correspondence between Ifor Williams and leading scholars in Arthurian and Celtic studies J. Gwenogvryn Evans and R.S. Loomis.

#OnThisDay in 1881 Sir Ifor Williams was born in Pendinas, Tregarth. A former Professor of Welsh and Celtic Studies at U.C.N.W., Bangor. He attended Friars School and here we have one of his school reports from 1894 where he scored an ‘Excellent’ 97 out of 100 in Mathematics.
