What I contribute to the legal profession is that I refuse to undervalue it. I do not charge cheaply, and if a client thinks my fee is too high, I let them know they are free to go elsewhere, but they will likely find that no serious lawyer will do the work for less. I believe lawyers should be respected, and part of that respect is valuing our time, knowledge, and skill appropriately.

Police have no business in civil matters!!! You can't use the police to enforce a contract!!! Standing as a guarantor for someone to secure a job with a company is a contract and has nothing to do with crime, even if the person commits a crime and runs away. The best thing to do is for the company and/or the employer to reach out to the guarantor, explain the situation, and see how they can be assisted in locating the person and/or assume the civil obligation aspect of it. It doesn't lie with the company or employer to employ the services of the police to arrest or harass the guarantor.

Honestly, I first dismissed the Twitter account of Amupitan as possible propaganda, but what I’m seeing from this platform’s FBIs has proved me wrong. Prof’s neutrality is very much questionable in the circumstances.

There’s an interesting divide in legal scholarship between views expressed as arguments and views expressed as truths: “I will argue for X” versus “I will show that the answer is X.”

The Journey to the Court suspending Adamawa State ADC Congresses started from: 1: The alarm raised by @ElishaCliff that certain elements planned to IMPOSE candidate and only one form was brought from Abuja. 2: Note that we have three factions in Adamawa ADC. They are: -(a): Pastor Babachir Lawal -(b): Shehu Yohanna. -(c): Distinguish Senator Aisha Binani @realaishabinani 3: it shows the capacity of @atiku to UNITE Abi RECONCILE people. -(a): That is how Wike left. 4: No one should say @GovernorAUF @OfficialAPCNg @officialABAT dey involved oooooo. 5: Love thy neighbor. As a law undergraduate, take NOTE of these: 1. Never wait till your 400 or 500 level before going for an internship. There are some basic things I wish I had known before call to bar, and there exists some knowledge you ought to be exposed to before going to the Nigerian Law School for a smooth ride. Being amidst legal professionals in active practice gives you the early mentorship and motivation necessary to pursue excellence in legal practice. Trust me, that's a leverage. Don't waste those long holidays. 2. Never graduate knowing only things pertaining to law alone. I have benefited so much from being a Jack of all Trade, especially in a country like Nigeria. If all you know and do is law, you will limit yourself. Expand your horizon, attend summits and conferences beyond law, make researches on different aspects of knowledge, write on critical political issues and always explore opportunities in different spheres; there is something about everything there is to know. A good and sound lawyer must know something in everything. 3. Do not read for grades alone. For a lawyer who wants to add value to any place he or she appears, read for knowledge and read to be empowered. There is a level of confidence which comes with proper understanding of what you have learned. 4. Do not allow any lecturer to limit you or your ability. He is where he probably wants to be, but you are not yet where you want to be. Don't allow him to limit you by his words, grades, or outburst. Your destiny doesn't lie in the hands of a mere mortal. Break away from any mental slavery someone who doesn't know your future can subject you to. 5. The world is spiritual. Hence, don't substitute religious activities for real personal relationship with God. Do participate in fellowship activities, but never let it replace your personal interaction with God. Don't be a zealot or an extremist. God is everywhere and knows all things, including our struggles and weaknesses. 6. Regardless of the struggles you see a colleague face whilst in the University, never look down on anyone. The poor guy you see begging you for a cup of garri in the hostel could later rise to be a billionaire after school, and the guy who struggled to make third class might come back powerful, famous and rich. The outside world is a different ball game, and trust me, it is not by what you graduate with o. 7. It is good to be ambitious, but do not take your CGPA or class of degree as the final say on your life. Why should a cream-coloured A4 paper, signed by the Registrar of your institution be a final authority on your life?. There is so much to life than your class of degree; the world will continue to honour, regard and pay you as long as you can solve problems. The illiterate of the 21st century is he who can't learn, unlearn, and relearn things. 8. NEVER think people are going to treat you specially just because you are graduating with a good grade. Good grades open doors, but your value( knowledge, skills, and competence) gives you a seat at the table. The world out there is full of people MORE qualified and experienced than you. Work out your salvation and what saves you is what you can do. 9. Maintain close relationships with people, apologize to those whom you have wronged, forgive those who wronged you, and always make things easier for colleagues, friends, and seniors. 10. Always pray for Grace as you journey in and outside the University. In a saturated industry like ours, you need more than efforts and hardwork to excel. To be recognized and respected in a competitive profession like ours in this time and age, it is important that there is a divine alignment. In the long run, your results in life speak louder than your University in the grand scheme of things. Rahma cares ✍️

Neutrality is not a half-full OR half-filled concept, it is an ALL OR NONE’s concept. If it is in doubt, then, there is no neutrality. If the reasonable man’s test is that the neutrality is doubtful, you have to resolve the doubt in favour of the reasonable man. We are already in a sensitive period in our democracy, all doubts that are erasable should be totally erased.

I predict that with these damning revelations, they will soon close that OPay account that clearly links that phone number to the inec chairman. That OPay account will soon magically disappear or become “non existent”. Thank God the evidence is everywhere already. Go and write this down. When it happens you all will be back here to acknowledge I said so.
