Last night, the House of Lords passed Clause 208. BASHH welcomes this vital amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill, meaning women are no longer subject to criminal investigation or prosecution for seeking abortion support. The Bill will move to third reading on 25th March.

Today, the House of Lords is due to consider Clause 208 of the Crime and Policing Bill. The amendment would end the criminal investigation and prosecution of women for ending their pregnancies. BASHH supports this vital amendment to protect abortion rights for vulnerable women.
