Later that day, his wife had another seizure and was discharged after they discovered that the husband had filed a report against the hospital. Hospital staff called security on the husband after he confronted them for refusing to care for her while she was having seizures. Security personnel escorted the husband and his wife from the room while having seizures. That is when the husband contacted the Overland Park Police Department. Upon their arrival, they witnessed the incident as Quae was providing aid to his wife. Police informed them that they had to take action, prompting the emergency room staff to intervene.
