@NmlPickleball @ZaneNavratil @connorpardoe_pb I don’t think using glasses as a band aid to “fix” bad lighting is a good solution, although if I continued to play I would’ve worn them despite not liking playing in glasses.

After @BenJohns_pb blatantly tanks his mixed match against Atlanta this morning, Ben and Collin decide to withdraw from the rest of the tournament. Ben should be suspended - not from MLP because he clearly doesn’t want to play, but from the PPA tour. @connorpardoe_pb @SaminOdhwani @MajorLeaguePB @Pickleball @PPAtour

@NmlPickleball @ZaneNavratil @connorpardoe_pb The levels of light here, by the numbers, are ~1/3 that of professional tennis. There have to be some minimum standards met. I would respect anyone’s choice not play in this, including his, disregarding my extra medical issue. H just got hit in the face. Coincidence? Maybe.

@BenJohns_pb @ZaneNavratil @connorpardoe_pb The league should mandate eye protection regardless. One bad injury and claim, then their insurance carrier will require it.

@rmourpoppop @ZaneNavratil @connorpardoe_pb I won’t tell any players what to do. But I’d rather consider safety first as this is our career. Better safe than sorry, not going to risk getting hit in the eye.

@ZaneNavratil @connorpardoe_pb Again, I’m happy to play with my team and make up the matches at other events/venues. H just got hit in the face, can’t say 100% it was due to lighting, but definitely could have been. Change happens when players speak up, and hopefully this makes venues safer in the future.
