BREAKING: Troy Baseball Lands Major In-State Commitment in All-American Infielder Kam Jenkins @KamJenkins22 @TroyTrojansBSB Troy Baseball has secured one of the biggest commitments in the state, as Bob Jones High School All-American infielder Kam Jenkins has announced his commitment to the Trojans after reopening his recruitment from Missouri. Originally signed with Missouri of the SEC, Jenkins elected to flip his commitment to Troy, giving the Trojans one of Alabama's premier prospects. His commitment comes on the heels of the addition of transfer right-handed pitcher Grady Bivens, continuing a strong offseason for head coach Skylar Meade and his staff. Jenkins capped off an outstanding senior season by earning Huntsville Area Player of the Year, Class 7A Hitter of the Year, First-Team All-State, and Third-Team Perfect Game High School All-American honors. He is ranked as the No. 106 shortstop nationally by Perfect Game and is considered one of the top infielders in Alabama, ranking No. 7 overall in the state and No. 4 among Alabama shortstops. At the plate, Jenkins was one of the state's most dangerous hitters in 2026, batting .364 with 12 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs, 41 RBIs, 49 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases. His impact extended to the defensive side as well, where he recorded 121 putouts, 21 assists, and 10 double plays while posting a .916 fielding percentage. Jenkins also showcased his versatility on the mound, throwing 13.2 innings with 20 strikeouts and an impressive 1.54 ERA. Landing an All-American talent who was previously headed to the SEC is another significant recruiting victory for Troy Baseball.
