The latest SD brought together members of #Hirshabelle administration, insider peacebuilders & delegates from SD committees to discuss outcomes. We thank District Commissioner’s office & the people of Jowhar for awarding us & the SD Initiative with a certificate of appreciation!

Our activities in Jowhar continued to show how climate action & peacebuilding go hand in hand. Through our sustained dialogue process, local committees are preventing youth violence, mediating conflicts between communities & strengthening cooperation across urban & rural groups.

"At the beginning, it seemed like a dream that the established committees would receive regular monthly training and hold continuous meetings. Today, it is clear that this committee has carried out many important activities in #Jowhar."
