Oh brother… everyone knows about Root, but there was/is quite a bit more. One day I’d like to write a book about all the things that have been shared confidentially that have never been spoken about… but it’s never been my place to break news (doesn’t mean that they aren’t shared with other media members tho 😉)

Here is my new yearly scheduled tweet. The Transfer Portal is now open. Just a PSA. The Portal giveth… and it taketh away. Don’t live and die by the announcements. Some players have probably been asked, or suggested to go into the portal. Others are doing it on their own, if they enter on their own, there is a high % that an opposing team reached out to them (or their parents/representatives) to tell them to enter. That said, if a guy has one foot out and one foot in…. I want him out. This isn’t the place where you can do that. If they want to leave… they have been talking about it for a while, we need guys that are fully committed to improving themselves AND making their teammates better. You are either IN or In The Way. Be careful with how you respond. Let’s put our full support and focus on players that are on the roster, and those that will be. I trust the coaches that we have in place.
