@wildcatnews I haven't seen anything vile & I've consumed a lot of social media since this broke. I'm sure if you look hard enough for it there's a few out there. Almost all of what I've seen is fans in disbelief and searching for answers. Unless you consider disagreement vile, I don't see it

Here’s my last word and I’m going to slide away from Twitter a few days. I feel very sadden the possible hiring of Mark Pope has brought so much vile from so many UK fans past 12 hours. I thought BBN was better than this. Disagreement is fine, but this has been way overboard.

@cnewton_ky @buzzbaker Pure conjecture. No one will ever know who Mitch talked to and he’s likely to provide the list. Those that thought Pearl was a lock only have that feeling because he’s generally had kind things to say about Kentucky. Absolutely doesn’t mean he would take the job.

@buzzbaker I’m sure that’s probably true, but I highly doubt Mitch spoke to Pearl or Miller or even Pitino. All three would have given a kidney to be here.

As you know I’ve seen a few of these searches & here are some thoughts. Some people covet this job- for some its too all consuming & they run from it. Im 100% confident that UK talked to all the names we heard or their reps. & at the end, a number walked away

@vaughtsviews My concern @vaughtsviews is roster building. By all objective accounts, he hasn’t recruited well. Can he build a competitive 2024-2025 roster in a few short weeks???

@DBlank3 @BigBlueCarti Not quite……Eddie Sutton was a proven coach having taken Arkansas to the Final 4 in 1978. Rick Pitino led Providence to the Final 4. Tubby had 3 Sweet 16’s prior to UK.

@KeithFarmer18 Let’s be intellectually honest; We’re arguing about semantics. Every school conducting a search says the same in order not to have to face the embarrassment of “x” number of candidates having turned down offers. Had Drew said YES an official offer would’ve been immediate.

According to my sources, Baylor's Scott Drew was never offered the job. He was asked to consider the job and, after sleeping on it last night, he has declined interest in coming to Kentucky. #BBN
