Think people are overly bearish on $HYPE unstaking queue. Feel free to try trading it quantitatively, there's not much signal. Lot's of whales love staking native $HYPE and hedging on perps to maximize future airdrop value, get extra yield, and be more capital efficient. The Coinbase announcement causing a larger than normal exodus of stakers isn't necessarily bearish with the intent to sell; it could be that they realize there's a material risk of a dramatic rerating that could jeopardize their hedges. Would not be surprised to see a lot of the unstaking end up being delta neutral as spot is sold and perps hedges are closed/adjusted. There's also the usual reasons, such as migration to different wallets or a custodian, moving to @Kinetiq_xyz kHYPE, moving exposure to ETF, etc. If you do trade unstaking events, I also think selling $HYPE calls with expiry prior to the actual unstake is vastly superior way to express the view that "upside is capped until uncertainty is cleared up" vs selling $HYPE, especially here. $42 HYPE May22 calls selling at $0.70 right now on @DeriveXYZ (or $0.53 on @ryskfinance if you hate money). Cleaner way to express a view that $HYPE holds $40 but doesn't moon until the big unstake overhang is cleared.
