Not only does our Cincy911 team answer your emergency calls, but they also make sure first responders in the field are safe. 911 Dispatcher Maranda exemplified just that when she initiated additional police assistance when she could not make contact with a @CincyPD officer.

@winemedineme @JamesBonsall @cghuelsman @311Cincy Communication if a pickup is delayed is still an issue; we @311Cincy don't always have visibility to that info either, and it's needed. Wish I had a better answer on that now, but just wanted to let you know we're pushing for improvements on it.

Meet one of our 911 Dispatchers, Anna! Anna recently helped a caller give CPR instructions to her family for her younger brother, who was not breathing. Because of Anna's ability to calmly deliver CPR instructions, the family was able to provide care before paramedics arrived.

@311Cincy I just tried to use the app and had the same problem: I enter all requested info, hit "submit," the app crashes, and when I open it back up there's no record of my request.
This time I submitted the request on 311Cincy.com and it was easy and quick (like the hotline).

First, this screen confused me because the answer to the question is "no" but when you check that box it turns to "yes" which is wrong...
Then when I hit "submit" the app closed and didn't register my service request

@becca_costello @311Cincy That is the worst screen in the app. It confuses me every time. Second worst is the modal window that says not to close it until the issue is received (a user shouldn't know or care about that process). Third worst is figuring out how to choose the map location for the request.

@becca_costello @311Cincy Glad calling went well! I’ll check in with the app team and see if that UI can be improved. The existing Fix It Cincy app was simply rebranded for 311Cincy but there are app improvements ahead.

I ended up calling 311 instead and got it reported within 2 minutes. It was super easy to do. Thanks @311Cincy!
The app problem may have been on my end, but I do think the weird presentation on that screen is confusing.

The ARC pilot has been extended and is going well, connecting people to services rather than sending police for crises that are not a law enforcement issue. This is freeing up our police officers to respond where they are needed elsewhere.
