@hodlonaut What if I told you that the most radical political structure is to have decentralized power exercised by democratically elected representatives, and that most people really don't want to hear your loud fan noises while you suck the lifeblood out of their power grid for BRICS-BTC

"Pick the AI system you depend on most. Maybe your company ships it. Maybe your insurer relies on it. Maybe the agency you regulate operates it. A regulator walks in and asks: prove the operator did not change the log. If the answer is "we trust them," the answer is no." Via: github.com/Calhooon/prova… Congratulations on your great initiative! Very important work!

@shadihamid theocracy is necessarily bad in a democracy, and the muslim religion is the trashiest of backwoods degenerate religions. bacon is delicious and women are not property (you foreigner)

A core precept of Christianity is that it's often "strange." Evangelicals take pride in being different than the rest of society and in making Christ their true sovereign. For many liberals, this is weird. But weirdness isn't necessarily bad in a democracy.

@troyhunt modularize the code and have some sort of memory system for the analysis

A bunch of analysis has been saved locally to .md files so that would obviously persist, but what should I be doing to avoid this in future?

It was all going great with @openclaw... until today. Been doing heaps of breach research and analysis, then it's hit the wall. I'm trying to understand the way out: clearing the session will erase Claude's memory of prior discussions, right? What's the right way to manage this?

@elkrun21 It's good as a hub and spoke system; as good as a bunch of payment channels from a hub would be. Given your political views expressed in the thread this is not a good thing, to position a hub and spoke technology (centralized) as a decentralized payments layer for bitcoin.

SegWit and Taproot have mostly enabled three things: 1) Lightning - intended consequence - bitcoin only - good 2) Spam (e.g., Ordinal Inscriptions) - probably unintended consequence - not good 3) Non-bitcoin assets - intended consequence - not good, imo - strong evidence below 👇 SegWit and Taproot enabling non-bitcoin assets doesn't get scrutinized enough, imo. It was intentional and well funded by VC and Angels investors. And they're not getting their ROI from the bitcoin asset ... they're getting it from other fiat assets using bitcoin resources. Did you know: Blockstream is a $651+ million VC and Angel backed company formed in 2014. Reid Hoffman co-led the seed round and is still on Blockstream's board. Blockstream Liquid launched in late 2018. There were 23 founding members, including: Bitfinex, BitMEX, OKCoin (now OKX), Xapo. Blockstream employees were the primary authors of SegWit (2017) and Taproot (2021), including Tapscript. Another key contributor to Taproot, AJTowns, was funded by Xapo through mid-2020, then Paradigm (2nd largest crypto VC). Blockstream Liquid relies heavily on SegWit and Taproot, including Tapscript. Liquid's purpose, per their website: "The Liquid Network is a Bitcoin layer-2 enabling the issuance of security tokens and other digital assets." Approximately 75% of Liquid's total ~$4B TVL are non-bitcoin assets. This includes Tokenized Private Credit, RWA Tokenized Sovereign Fixed Income and Stablecoins, including Tether. Blockstream Simplicity, currently running on Liquid, relies heavily on SegWit and Taproot, but not the Tapscript part of Taproot. Simplicity is a wholesale replacement of Tapscript. Simplicity is a low-level, typed functional programming language designed as a smart contract language for Bitcoin-like systems. Blockstream officially describes it as: 1) A completely parallel alternative to Bitcoin Script (and by extension, Tapscript). 2) A wholesale replacement for Script/Tapscript in contexts where it is used. 3) More expressive than Bitcoin Script/Tapscript Adam Back has indicated on numerous occasions Blockstream's desire/intent to soft fork Simplicity onto bitcoin mainnet. He calls it "the last soft fork". Several other VC-backed companies are leveraging SegWit/Taproot to bring non-bitcoin assets (stablecoins) to bitcoin, including: Alpen Labs (Strata ZK Rollup) Lightspark (Spark + BTKN), which leverages LRC-20 Tether (via Taproot Asset) Draw your own conclusions.

People act like quantum computers run themselves. No, there are human beings who would operate them. With intent. If there are plans to build a QC to steal money from people, then that is heavy duty prison time. Sophisticated wire fraud is not treated lightly. Anyone involved is likely facing 20+ years in prison.

@jayweeldreyer @Fried_rice its not just the harness, its the model's ability to work well within the harness. opus/claude code is superior to gpt/codex for many reasons; the inferior terminal bench results notwithstanding. there is a reason it leads the market.

@jayweeldreyer @Fried_rice I was benching LLM and I deployed terminal bench and found that the relevant benchmarks were inferior to the ones I had constructed: (bash, I use bash and sh all the time and live in the terminal, and have a massive library of scripts) GPT in practice is inferior where it counts
