🥇🇺🇦 Ukrainian veteran Ivan Artiukh from the Luhansk region won four gold medals at the Air Force and Marine Corps Trials in the United States. He took first place in all four swimming events he competed in: 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke, and 50m breaststroke. This is his first time competing at the Trials, but he already has international experience from competitions in Lithuania, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan. He will also compete in rowing, cycling, and sitting volleyball. Ivan Artiukh served in the assault brigade “Liut” and fought in the Luhansk region, during the Kharkiv counteroffensive, near Lyman and Bakhmut. He was wounded in Chasiv Yar in spring 2024. Now he works as a lawyer and continues his sports career, representing Ukraine in international competitions.
