Blacklock has *finally* confirmed its Birmingham spot will open April 20. The ground floor of Pigeon Park's handsome former vicarage is being reborn as a 100-seat restaurant and bar – all high spirits, low lighting and serious chops. There’ll be Birmingham-only dishes (details incoming), plus Blacklock Brews, created with Birmingham Brewing Company.

Do I have any chef pals on here with views about gravy? Not for me, for a friend who's looking into the British obsession with it. Non-food professionals, I know you may have strong feelings about this but please don't chime in unless it's to refer a chef, it's a short deadline!

@BlacklockChops had a great pre theatre meal at the Covent Garden restaurant with my boy! Food, cocktails/mocktails the best I’ve ever had (I’ve had a few in my time lol), service was amazing and will definitely be returning! Thank you Blacklock and your wonderful staff
