This interview with Dangote is pure gold. One key takeaway that hit me hard (and he said it himself about his top management): “When you wake them late at night, they will tell you the process of every part of our business.” That’s the culture of ownership he built at Dangote Group. As an entrepreneur, you must know the business inside out. You can’t sell what you don’t fully understand. You can’t buy what you haven’t studied. And you definitely can’t build something you haven’t clearly envisioned. His top team doesn’t just manage, they own the vision, the numbers, the operations. That level of mastery is why he scaled from trading cement in 1978 to a $45 billion empire across Africa. No shortcuts. Deep knowledge + relentless ownership = the real difference between building something big and just running a business. Every African entrepreneur needs to watch this.

The CEO of Norway's sovereign wealth fund has a podcast. And he interviewed Dangote. Find it and listen.

Stop telling Claude, "do this." Stop telling Claude, "write code." Stop telling Claude, "fix this error." You're actually treating a senior AI like a junior intern. Here are 8 prompts you can copy and paste directly:

Did you know? 🇿🇦💎 South Africa isn’t just mining gold—it’s mining "Liquid Helium." 🎈 Most global helium is found at 0.1% concentration. But @RenergenSA’s Virginia, Free State project has hit 12%—some of the highest concentrations ever recorded on Earth! 🌍 Now, SA is one of only 8 nations in the world supplying this critical element for MRIs, SpaceX rockets, and AI chips. 🚀💻 South Africa is currently the 8th largest producer in the world. The Secret? A 2-billion-year-old asteroid impact (Vredefort) created a perfect "trap" for helium produced by decaying uranium.

@elonmusk Your trolling of South Africa is looking very desperate and embarrassing now. We still don’t want Starlink here.

Refusal to comply with BEE should not be the only reason we reject Starlink, we should reject Starlink on nothing but principle at this point. It is a security risk and its founder has spread misinformation and lies about the country. To hell with Starlink, fuck Elon Musk and his dick riders.

Absurd in the same way @tiktok_us was forced to sell, ByteDance went from full ownership to 20%, effectively giving up 80% to U.S. led investors in a deal worth tens of billions. Over 600 U.S. companies operate and comply in South Africa i.e Cisco, Amazon, Oracle, etc. What’s so special about Starlink?
Farai Mazhindu@FaraiMazhindu

Does complying with South African law mean Elon Musk must surrender 30% of his business to South Africa? If that's the case, it's an absurd law. Very few serious people would do that, and likely no one is, they tend to use politicians to dodge it, which Elon Musk definitely won't do.

I finally figured out that true love isn't about the high, the butterflies, or the easy moments. It's about choosing someone even when it's hard, when the spark fades, when life gets tough, when you're not feeling it, but you still show up. That's real love. And if you walk away just because it gets hard, you'll never know how beautiful it could ve been when you chose to stay and build something stronger.
