[The End of an Era: Important Announcement Regarding the Future of Blocto] To our valued community, After five incredible years serving over 2 million users, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the sunset of Blocto Wallet services. Since Day 1, our mission was simple yet ambitious: to craft the most newbie-friendly wallet in the world, one capable of onboarding millions to Web3. And together, we achieved that. Back when EOA wallets were the only option, Blocto pioneered email and social login solutions, along with our SDK, making blockchain interaction easier than ever before. As the earliest supporter of Flow, Blocto built the ecosystem’s major infrastructure, including Blocto Wallet, BloctoSwap, Blocto Teleport, and BloctoBay. We also established the most utilized FLOW delegation node. We have worked alongside top-notch projects and served millions of you, and for that, we are immensely proud. The Difficult Reality However, focusing solely on building great products is not always sustainable. As the $FLOW price declined from nearly $40 in 2021 to below $0.30 today—a drop of over 99%—Blocto has been operating at a significant loss. For the past several years, we have absorbed over $5.5 million in losses to keep our services running for the community. Even as market conditions worsened, we upheld our commitment, ensuring that users' assets remained secure and accessible. But this could not last forever. Recognizing that our operating capital was running low, we began attempting to engage the Flow/Dapper leadership in June of this year. After 6 months of persistent effort, we have not been granted a single leadership meeting. Every email exchange took weeks, while we continued to burn through our remaining runway. During these months, we received neither explicit support nor the opportunity for a constructive discussion on a sustainable path forward. Now, we simply do not have the capital to continue absorbing these costs. We deeply regret informing our community of this outcome. Blocto’s journey as a wallet provider ends here. Service Changes & Critical Actions Required Please read the following details carefully, as they affect your assets. 1. Blocto Wallet, Swap, & Teleport are Sunsetting Effective December 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM PST (the sunset date), Blocto Wallet, BloctoSwap, and Blocto Teleport will discontinue operations. 2. Blocto Staking Service Remains Operational Please be assured that the Blocto Staking Service (our node) is unaffected and will remain up and running. Your staked assets are completely safe. To continue managing them, you only need to import your Blocto Wallet private key into another wallet service. There is no need to unstake your FLOW. Doing so would cause the loss of your FLOW staking reward. 🛑 Critical Actions Required Before Dec 18, 2025, 7:00PM PST: Withdraw Liquidity: If you have liquidity in BloctoSwap, withdraw all deposited liquidity immediately. Bridge Assets: If you hold tUSDT (Flow), go to Blocto Teleport and bridge it back to Ethereum immediately. ⚠️ Warning: Failure to complete these withdrawals before the sunset date may result in a permanent loss of access to these specific assets. For Custodial Mode Users: Action Required Before Dec 18, 2025, 7:00PM PST Migrate Your Wallet: To ensure the safety and control of your assets, you MUST manually export your private key by switching to Non-Custodial Mode before Dec 18, 2025, 7:00PM PST. How: Download the Blocto App, update to the latest version, and follow the in-app instructions to complete. Note: If you do not complete this manually before the sunset date, you WILL LOSE ACCESS to your wallet permanently. Security Warning: The Blocto team will never ask for your private key under any circumstances. Do not share your key with anyone. Only import your private key into trusted and verified wallet services. Please be aware that if you share your private key with a malicious party, your assets may be stolen, and we cannot recover them or provide support. Dear Blocto User, As previously announced, the official sunset process for Blocto Wallet is beginning. To ensure all users maintain permanent access to their assets, we have triggered a failsafe protocol for those who are still in Custodial Mode (meaning you have not yet exported your private key). 1. Automatic Private Key Distribution: If you have not yet switched to Non-Custodial Mode, we will automatically email your Private Key to your registered email address. This key will allow you to import your wallet to other services on Flow and access your funds. 2. Delivery Time Warning (Don't Panic): Due to the high volume of users, sending these emails will take several days to complete. If you do not receive your email immediately, please do not panic—it is in the queue and on its way. 3. Recommended Action: Switch Manually Now You do not have to wait for the email. The Blocto App is still accessible for a limited time. We strongly recommend logging in and switching manually to get your key immediately. How: Open Blocto App > Settings > Security > Non-Custodial Mode. Benefit: This guarantees you receive your key instantly without waiting for the email queue or worrying about spam filters.
