And what happens if the third jury can't reach a verdict? Do we just keep going until jury 153,274 Finally returns the verdict of guilty, by which point the victims and the perpetrators will have been dead for a good few years and nobody will actually remember why they were there?

If the CPS do not go for another trial with a new jury, then Justice in the UK no longer exists. Imagine what the lady police officer is thinking tonight.

Call centres are being outsourced to other countries or AI. Sending tweets does not equate to the workload required for a usual full-time job. And call centres would be no good for those of us who use voice recognition for text input (as I'm doing now) as, generally you have to talk on the phone and type at the same time.

Indeed, I was just thinking about how deeply embarrassing it would be for my piss bag to fail while working in an office, particularly if there was no facility (including people) to do a full lower half clothing change and replacement of my chair seat cover. Not to mention things like transport to and from the office, somebody to get my coat on and off, get all my stuff out my bag when I need it and put it back again. Also, since. Mam and dad are my sole carers, I would have to make sure I could go on holiday whenever they want to go because there is no one else who can do what they need to do for me, so if they go, I have to go as well.

@JamesMarshcz3o @BlokeOnWheels So in Joes case an office is going to make themselves 100% accessible so that Joe can come to work and have the person he needs for many physical actions that require movement he is not capable of doing assist him.
Disabled people and their unpaid carers are just not employable

Can I get a massive 'fuck right off!' To this latest idea? Banning people from voting just because they happen not to be engaged in being economic units is a ridiculous idea that certainly belongs in the last century if not the one before.

@BlokeOnWheels How can an election be “fair” if those who pay are outvoted by those who don’t pay? Imagine the chaos for a trade union if the votes at its conference or age were swayed by those who don’t pay membership fees to the detriment of the members who do pay.

Also, if for whatever reason, such as a migraine, or feeling generally awful, I can just not do it for awhile. Furthermore, I found that when I used to go out to places like school and uni (going back a good few years) I used to get ill an awful lot because I have a weak immune system. Hardly the type of person a productivity driven company would want to employ

@BlokeOnWheels Also, a significant difference between working in a call centre and the pitifully small time it takes to send a tweet is the simple fact that if someone gets under your skin or starts souring your mood you can just block them. Try refusing to take a call or email for that...

You do know that some disabled people who were born with their disabilities (and who may not be able to work as a result of them) manage to live until they are old enough to receive their pensions, don't you? Of course they should get one. Also, do you think the same of the people who are on benefits because their wages aren't high enough for them to live on?

The Prime Minister does not have the power to order a retrial in any case. It doesn't matter if the alleged perpetrator is Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Hindu, atheist, a Klingon or a devoted follower of the Divine Pink Order of Sharron. He doesn't have the power.

So the idea is they just keep going until you get the result you want? As a principal of Justice, that is ridiculous. They had 2 goes at it and couldn't convince a jury in either case.

That's the theory, in practice, cutting benefits means the tax money is redirected to another area of government. You still pay exactly the same, it just goes somewhere else. At the same time, people on the receiving end of the cuts are left to struggle even more than they did previously.

Cutting benefits leads to lower taxes which means the working people who actually earned that money have more money to spend. Who deserves to spend the money more? I just received a call from an unknown mobile number. I don't care who you are or what you want, I'm not answering it. As I've said before, I don't even phone people I know and love if I can avoid it, and yes that does include people like Mam, Dad and Sharron. So I'm definitely not going to take a call from a completely random person.

@radiodandy75 That's good Granny bear. In this case, I could see the number it just wasn't in my contacts so I thought it best to ignore it. Probably one of those weird scam people try and offer me some form of job. They've definitely picked the wrong person there.
