1. Goal: I like to approach studies with intent in mind. I realized that I’m struggling with people sitting on a chair? I google “person sitting” And draw while trying to understand. Which means: 2. Breaking down the ref: Im thinking and having internal thoughts throughout the process. (Red lines in pic) “oh so in this angle the shoulders touch where the ears end.” “Ok this is how to draw feet from this angle”. These red lines happen in my brain as I draw— finding connections, shortcuts and shapes, and this could get tiring to do it all the time, so, 3. Passive learning: Sometimes it’s all about building muscle memory which improves line confidence. (green in pic.) I did these on stream which means I cant do the prev point, so things like gesture, finding that one line that constructs a shape is what I get from it. On top of 4. Building mental library: when you do it consciously you memorize how to draw things when you see them. We all think we know how to draw an elephant for example but put pen to paper and you cant from memory if you havent observed one before. That explains the flamingo 😅

그림팁을 전부 공유하는 이유는... 사실 나태하지 않기 위함도 있어요. 기존에 알고 있던 지식들을 공개하는 선택이 나의 입지를 흔들 것 같다면 그건 더 공부하지 않았다는 의미죠. 지금에 안주했다는 거예요. 차라리 밑천 다 털 각오를 하고, 턴 만큼 더 공부하겠다는 마음으로 임하고 있습니다.
