@Bondesque007 WFT! Completely WRONG on both counts. Richard Maibaum was the writer not Broccoli who did not acquire the film rights until 1961. So how did he start to write script a year earlier? Idiots.

Op deze dag in 1954 startte het eerste James Bond-verhaal ‘Casino Royale’ als strip in The Daily Express. Het verhaal werd voor de krant herschreven door Anthony Hern en de tekeningen waren van John McLusky. Op 13 december dat jaar verscheen de laatste tekening van het verhaal.
