🇪🇸 Bootham welcomed students from Northfield School, Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 today. Together, they enjoyed a language exchange workshop, made friends, and shared a wonderful time. ❤️

🇪🇸 A Level students attended a presentation by Liz Brown, former Head of Geography at Bootham, who shared her first-hand experiences of travelling in Latin America. Students learnt about various countries, enhancing their cultural knowledge. ¡Muchas gracias, Liz! 🙏❤️

🇪🇸 Bootham students are looking forward to welcoming 43 students from Northfield School/Buenos Aires 🇦🇷, who will be taking part in a language exchange workshop this Thursday. A great opportunity for our 🇪🇸 students to develop their oral skills & enhance their cultural awareness!

To mark #InternationalWomensDay, 🇪🇸 College 1 students researched the importance of #NiUnaMenos — the 🇦🇷 Argentinian feminist movement against gender-based violence — and Punto Violeta, one of the 🇪🇸 Ministry of Equality’s tools to combat gender violence. #GiveToGain

🇪🇸ALevel students attended an online presentation in🇪🇸from Spain🇪🇸 by Carmen García-Rodeja, ARMH spokesperson. Everyone learned and asked questions in 🇪🇸 about how this association works to reparate the memory of the victims of the 🇪🇸 Civil War and the Franco’s dictatorship.

🇪🇸 ALevel Ali Almazedi & Alex Beard participated today in the North East MFLDebating Competition. The 🇪🇸 team’s participation was fantastic & the 🇪🇸 jury congratulated Ali & Alex on their phenomenal open debate skills ¡Muchas gracias @stpetersyorkmfl por organizar este evento! 👏

The MFL department invites Bootham School students to participate in the Anthea Bell Prize Translation Competition 2026 run by The Queen’s College University of Oxford/ The Queen’s College Translation Exchange.

Excellent work ALevel 🇪🇸 College linguists. They took part in the school Recital Room Spring 2026 Public Programme Lunch Time Events.The students covered a wide range of topics linked to Spain. 👏👏👏👏
