@bthftresus @Dallas_Holladay Ahh thank you 🤩 we don’t do troponin as part of a standard assessment and would only recommend it be done if the history suggested likely ACS. The suspicion for cardiogeneic/arrhythmogenic syncope comes from the history and cannot be ruled out by a negative troponin

@Dallas_Holladay Bradford has the most wonderful syncope service. @BTHFT_Syncope I wonder what they think

A troponin is not part of a standard, evidence based syncope work-up. I said what I said.

@joanna24uk @NewcastleHosps We do too, tilt training, clenching exercises ect. Not sure if we are in clinic or the gym some days 😆

#jeremyvine counter pressure manoeuvres Squeezing of large muscles can abort #syncope and not be noticeable. At the Falls and Syncope Unit in @NewcastleHosps we demonstrate this to our patients

Being called "Prof" at med school or as a junior usually means you're the kind of knowitall who adds "...and Kent" to a colleague's answer on electrophysiology. Hopefully I can be proud of this one, and look forward to more good cross-disciplinary work in healthcare data and AI!
