@natemixing Thats true. Just not all the frequencies translate... for a reason. And if I have to make certain mix decisions just because of the phones listeners ... nah.

@BUKEZFINEZT Problem is that all the "well mixed tunes" I know sound great on a phone too

🎚️ Your 808s sound weak on phone speakers? The problem is next. Phone speakers can't reproduce low frequencies (<100Hz), but your 808 lives there, hence it disappears. The solution: 1. Duplicate your 808 track 2. On the duplicate: HPF at 100Hz (remove ALL the sub) 3. Add saturation/distortion, very aggressively 4. This creates harmonics mostly in 200-800Hz range 5. Blend the duplicate at -6 to -12dB under original Subs still hit on systems that can handle them. Phones/laptops use the harmonic content. Your 808 translates EVERYWHERE. @natemixing
