@SnowfallFX I think this made it easier for the show's producers to allow her character to go down that path, so the tragedy hits very close to home for Franklin, but still not close enough for him to want to stop. Maybe if his mama goes crazy and starts smoking he'll have 2nd thoughts.

@SnowfallFX No. Mel is a tragic casualty in all this but honestly he never stood a real chance of "being" with her. Her father hated him and made it clear he wanted Franklin dead. ☠
