To be clear in this time having your head about the parapet as a woman of colour is brutal, you’ll not believe the stuff that’s happened in the last few months, but working in the open, in these times is more important. Don’t get it wrong for one second, I’m at the stage of life where I wish we could very quietly be immersed in nature in our neighbourhood and just work, without having to say a single word about it. But unfortunately, power and resource don’t work like that, and secondly working in the open out loud sharing radically and quickly is critical in these times.

@ImmyKaur Would be great if the reporting feedback loop could be re-imagined. There are dynamic ways of communicating over time versus a standstill point of extracting data and information.

Just a reminder burning through revenue to raise capital, and it taking forever so you have to raise revenue again, but then you have to stop because funders want reports, because they can’t just come see / be in the work, is a false game and wastes money over the long term, correctly capitalised for a ambitious vision early, and just getting on with that not this game is way smarter and cheaper. The fact we are the risk is silly.

Yesterday I walked into a charity shop and came by a book ‘people need people’ by *Benjamin Zephaniah*. I purchased it for my son. So sad to hear that this incredible author & visionary passed on today. He leaves a legacy to all of us who strive for a just & equitable society.
