We welcome the #KingsSpeech goal that no child be held back by poverty. Building “a country fair for all” is vital, but families in debt need more than warm words. Gov missed a key chance to introduce independent enforcement regulation & protect the most vulnerable. ⚖️🏛️

We did it!💪After years of campaigning, the government has announced major reforms to council tax collection: liability order fees capped at £100, longer timelines before enforcement, and promised new statutory steps councils must take.💚
