Now look at 5A:
5A Schools
Dallas–Fort Worth: ~45
Houston: ~65
Houston has far more schools in both 6A & 5A, which spreads the same metro talent across nearly double the programs.
DFW has fewer schools but more of the largest enrollments, meaning the talent pool is more concentrated.
Fewer schools. Bigger programs.

Until Houston stops building all these High Schools in small radiuses you are going to continue to see sweeps and blowouts at state when it comes to playing these Dallas schools. Talent is too watered down in Houston, bc it’s a HS on every corner. SMH
