DOMINANCE BY THE SENIOR COLT 😤 Bobby Duffy is a STATE CHAMPION at 144 pounds after an impressive run through the tournament! With a 14-1 win over Delbarton’s Ryan DeGeorge, he becomes the fourth individual to win a state title in program history. Duffy recorded three first period pins in the first three rounds and a 6-1 semifinal decision before today’s championship-winning performance. Congratulations, Bobby! #MenForBrotherhood

State Championship 2️⃣8️⃣ for @cbatrack‼️ The Colts ran through the field last night in Toms River, earning the Non-Public A title by an impressive 67 points. CBA won four events and took eight more podium finishes, including senior Luke Hnatt winning both the 1600 and 3200. The victory marks the third time in program history that the Colts have won three or more indoor state titles in a row (1980-1989; 2011-2020; 2024-2026). 👏👏👏 #MenForBrotherhood

We're excited to have Coach Nunnally lead CBA Swimming as the fourth head coach in program history, bringing with him over 25 years of Division I collegiate coaching experience. “Growing up in Monmouth County, I have seen the continued greatness of CBA Athletics and the swimming program over many years,” Nunnally said. “I am beyond excited to join the department and lead the swimming team to future success.” Nunnally has spent the past 10 years as the head men's and women's coach at Monmouth University, which followed 16 years as the head coach and aquatics director at La Salle University. CBA is pleased to announce Nicholas Mariniello as the school’s new Director of Athletics! Mariniello joins CBA after serving as the Director of Athletics & Facilities at Hudson Catholic Regional High School for the past 16 years. At Hudson Catholic, Mariniello led a department of 15 sports, including establishing multiple girls’ programs when the school went co-ed in 2009. Now, he takes the helm of one of the most successful programs in New Jersey high school sports history, comprised of 18 interscholastic sports, over 50 coaches, and more than 600 student-athletes per year. State Sectional CHAMPS 😤 The Colts win the Non-Public A South bracket and are headed to the state championship game for the first time since 2015! CBA put up eight runs in the first inning and never looked back, defeating RBC 11-1 in five innings. Danny Russo hit a three-run homer to push the lead to 10 runs, before Shane Langan struck out the side with the bases loaded to end the game. #MenForBrotherhood

Welcome Home, Coach Brian Lynch! CBA is excited to announce that Brian Lynch ‘96 has been named the new head varsity basketball coach. Lynch returns to his alma mater as just the fourth head coach in CBA Basketball history. His long, accomplished basketball journey began as a student-athlete at the Academy, when he played under the tutelage of Coach Ed "Wiz" Wicelinski during a championship-winning era for the Colts. After playing for Villanova University, he had a nine-year professional career in Europe, before transitioning into pro coaching in Belgium.  Luckily for CBA fans, his next stop is back in Lincroft. CBA’s second consecutive Championship of America victory in the Distance Medley Relay is truly one for the record books ⤵️ ➡️ Ryan Schmitt, Ethan Fianko, Wyatt Falkowski and Joe Barrett capture the FIFTH DMR Penn Relays wheel in CBA history — 40 years after the first win in 1985. ➡️ CBA becomes the FIRST-EVER New Jersey school to win the DMR at the Penn Relays two years in a row. ➡️ CBA is the first U.S. high school in SEVENTY-THREE YEARS to win the DMR title in back-to-back Penn Relays. ➡️ The 2025 foursome’s sub-10 minute performance of 9:59.17 is good for ninth all-time in state history and the best-ever for a Shore Conference school — breaking CBA’s own record. ➡️ Barrett and Fianko become the first runners in CBA Track history to win TWO Penn Relays wheels in their high school careers. THANK YOU, Coach Billet! After 18 seasons at the helm, Geoff Billet is finishing his tenure as head coach of the Christian Brothers Academy basketball program. The 1995 CBA graduate led his alma mater to two state sectional titles, two Shore Conference Championships, and several divisional titles during his time as head coach. Overall, Billet won more than 300 games with CBA, who continued to be a mainstay at the top of the Shore Conference. “These 18 years would not have been possible without the hard work of our student-athletes, partnership with terrific assistant coaches, and the support of our parents and fans,” Billet said. “It has been an honor to serve as head basketball coach at the Academy and I will forever be thankful for the memories we made together.” Visit LetsGoColts.com for more on this announcement.
