✨ Mike (@mikeinrockandspace) captured the Little Ring Nebula (NGC 6894) in Cygnus. Just 42 arc-seconds across, this faint planetary nebula surrounds a central white dwarf with a delicate glowing shell of gas. Reprocessed from data captured in May 2022 using an HOS palette, with a total integration time of 8h 28m using the Celestron 14” EdgeHD with 0.7x Reducer. 📸 Image Details: • Ha: 18 x 500s • OIII: 22 x 500s • SII: 21 x 500s #Celestron #Astrophotography #NGC6894 #Cygnus #PlanetaryNebula #EdgeHD #Astronomy #SpacePhotography

Andrew (@gateway_galactic) spent 44.7 hours capturing the Whirlpool Galaxy (M51) from a Bortle 7 backyard, then carefully processed the data to bring out the galaxy’s structure, color, and detail. From the raw stacked image to gradient correction, star removal, color balancing, hydrogen-alpha blending, and finally adding the stars back in, every step contributes to the final result. 🔭 Captured with a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25" #Celestron #Astrophotography #M51 #WhirlpoolGalaxy #EdgeHD #DeepSkyAstrophotography #Astronomy #GalaxySeason

Part II: Here are the images from the Celestron setups from Bray Falls (@astrofalls) at @starfront_observatories. • The Jellyfish Nebula (IC 443) — faint shockwaves and texture brought forward • The Whirlpool Galaxy (M51) — clear spiral structure and its companion • The Sombrero Galaxy (M104) — sharp, edge-on dust lane • Thor’s Helmet (NGC 2359) — sweeping arcs of energized gas • A widefield hydrogen-alpha region — rich emission across the field • The Owl Nebula (M97) — subtle structure with depth 📷: @astrofalls Sombrero galaxy - Tom Mihelich IC443 - Sam Wyens Thors helmet - NE-FL-Astro Sh2-113 - Matt Crognale M51 - Justin Etheredge Crescent nebula - John M #Celestron #Astrophotography #DeepSky #DarkSkies #Bortle1

The western sky is putting on a show May 21 🌙✨ Spot a crescent Moon glowing near the Beehive Cluster (M44), while Venus and Jupiter light up the evening alongside the bright twin stars Pollux and Castor. Grab a blanket and your telescope, look west after sunset, and enjoy a little cosmic magic. Clear skies!

Corvus may be small, but it is packed with galaxies, double stars, and deep-sky surprises. 🔭✨ From the bright star Gienah to the famous Antennae Galaxies, this spring constellation has plenty to explore once you know where to look. Slide through for a tour of Corvus and some of its best observing targets. 🌌

Under dark New Moon skies in Borrego Springs, Herbert Hamber set up his Celestron Origin Mark II on a folding table and aimed it toward the Elephant Trunk Nebula. 🌌🔭 Using 186 ten-second exposures in alt-az mode, he captured this massive cloud of gas and dust where new stars are actively forming 2,400 light-years away.

Some telescopes never go out of style. 🌙🔭 Alex (@focus_astronomy) took this classic orange tube C8 out for a look at the Moon 50+ years after it was first made — and it’s still delivering the kind of views that made it legendary.

Along the Moon’s terminator line, sunlight hits the surface at a low angle, making craters, mountains, and rough terrain stand out in sharp relief. 🌙 As the Last Quarter Moon rises, features like Plato, Copernicus, Tycho, and Clavius become especially rewarding to explore through a telescope. Captured with the Celestron AstroMaster 70AZ using a smartphone through the eyepiece. 🔭📱 #Celestron #MoonPhotography #LunarObserving #Astronomy #Astrophotography #Moon #AstroMaster70AZ

The Whirlpool Galaxy, also known as M51, is one of the most stunning spiral galaxies visible from Earth ✨ Located in the constellation Canes Venatici near the Big Dipper, M51 shines at magnitude 8.4 alongside its companion galaxy, NGC 5195. Under dark skies, binoculars can reveal its glow, while small telescopes begin to uncover the galaxy’s iconic spiral structure. A true deep-sky favorite for spring stargazing 🔭

The Helix Nebula always feels a little unreal. 👁️🌌 Captured by @astroshap with a Celestron RASA 8 at f/2, this image combines 10 hours of exposure time to reveal the layers of a dying Sun-like star about 650 light-years away in Aquarius. The planetary nebula’s faint outer shell and textured inner core make this one of those targets you can keep revisiting.

This is M13—the Hercules Cluster. Looks like a tight ball of stars… but there’s a lot more going on here. That bright blue star? ~450 light-years away. The cluster itself? ~23,000 light-years. That faint galaxy off to the side? Tens of millions of light-years out. All in one frame. Captured with a RASA 8 from Long Beach by Chris H. (@hendrenimaging)

Did you know you can control your Celestron computerized telescope with an Xbox-style controller? 😱 Just plug your controller into your PC, launch CPWI, and map the joysticks to move your mount and focus—full control right from your hands. Pan across the sky, track targets, and fine-tune your view like you're in a game… except this time, it’s real. 🚀👾 🎥: Miguel (@migdroides)
