Just started playing the new update, then this happens

@altermentality Not really a hard limit, but I'm very stubborn when it comes to upgrading equipment in RPGs. I usually don't upgrade unless absolutely necessary & hoard cash.

@Kirbopher I watched the opening cutscenes from the demo, and it's honestly the most active Charles has done Wario in years. Gave me flashbacks to his terrific performance in Wario World.

The casting on all the other characters is excellent, but also, every time I get to hear Charles Martinet fully perform the plumbers (i.e. complete sentences) it brings me SUCH JOY youtube.com/watch?v=ZRic58…

Hey look, the WarioWare Gold cutscenes have cartoony voice acting that's still nuanced and really well-performed. More of that, please. These are good decisions, Nintendo.

@altermentality I didn't keep a lot of my friendships from Maplestory & LaTale going, but they helped me make ones I otherwise wouldn't have. MS alone was responsible for hooking me up with who I still consider my best friend almost 10 years later :)

At the same time, though, there needs to be a better balance for those who want intense matches but don't always wanna play Ranked, and those who just wanna chill without always needing to make local/online private lobbies.

I'm not one to tell people how to play, though; if you like playing as good as possible, then keep doing that! I don't want you to dial down what you feel is fun.

Playing Splatoon 2 last night made me realize that we may need some kind of subset of Turf War for more experienced players, but not necessarily like Ranked Battles.
