ON THIS DAY in 1910: Centre College, then part of Central University, defeated the University of Kentucky 87-17 in basketball. To date, this is the largest losing margin UK has seen. 🏀

Centre College and the Danville/Boyle County community marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with an array of events both solemn and celebratory, kicking off with a downtown march and culminating in a program hosted at the Norton Center for the Arts.

The Centre community will honor the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., with a convocation at 10:30 a.m. Other events will take place earlier in the day, including a Unity March starting at Danville City Hall at 9 a.m.
