As we wind up our coverage of what will be the final main series Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch, we want to thank you all for your incredible support throughout all these years - this community is the only reason we keep doing what we do. What started as a disposable account for posting spoilers has evolved into one of the biggest accounts in the world dedicated to Pokémon news. It's been a crazy ride! Centro Leaks will turn 10 years old in 2026, and while we aren’t perfect and have made plenty of mistakes, our goal is to keep improving so we can continue being your #1 source for Pokémon leaks, rumors, and speculation. 2026 will be one of our busiest years ever with a brand new generation on a brand new console, and we can't wait to see where this adventure will take us! ¡Gracias totales!

Landed in Unova and feel like I may be in danger here

@soulsilverart Eh don’t agree. Nintendo really just doesn’t have enough games ready. They’d have loved to have more releases in the first half this year but the reality is just that game development is getting very long and now on Switch 2 thst has caught up with them.

It’s time to finally talk about this. Whether you believe it or not,Pokémon WIWA was delayed(internally)… And whether or not that report on Nintendo cutting back production of NS2 units was true…there’s been no usual early year news/Nintendo Direct/1st party plans in sight… On top of all of this,just today Sony drastically raised all of its PS5 prices. I don’t think this is all coincidence. I’ve had my suspicions,but now I’m truly starting to believe that WIWA’s delay has more to do with whatever is going on with Nintendo & the tech industry than Game Freak “needing” more time to make Gen10 better than SV. Fans will keep saying that WIWA is coming in 2027 because Game Freak wanted “more time to cook”- And while that MIGHT be a benefit of the delay, I think the delay was a decision that primarily came down from Nintendo wanting to wait until the market turns around(maybe for production to get cheaper),or to give people more time to buy NS2s in this economy. This would mean there’s an equal possibility that Game Freak have no intention of working on WIWA more than they would have. That they will finish the game this year like they planned, and then let it sit on the shelf in 2027 waiting for its release. It’s almost certain that they did exactly this with ZA’s delay from 2024 to 2025(insider info) It’s also been heavily suggested that this WIWA delay was close to last minute -I’d speculate that this final decision was made at the earliest in Dec 2025 or Jan 2026. (I’m saying this in hope that maybe this means it wasn’t pushed back all the way to Holiday 2027🤞🏼) If you want some evidence/argument for WIWA being delayed: 1. The TL planned GameFreak games doc literally showed that WIWA was planned to release in 2026. 2. A legitimate & credible leaker has said it was a delay and a pretty recent one.(And I personally have heard the same from others) 3. The standard dev time and mainline game releases was 3 years, so Gen10 should have actually released in fall 2025. Instead it got another whole extra year of development, so it coming out this year (2026) was already unprecedented (without ZA). Now it may end up being a 5+ year gap instead of the usual 3? Sus. 4. If 2027 was always the plan, why not release the ZA Mega Dimension DLC on Pokémon Day 2026 instead of rushing it out a month after ZA released in 2025? 5. The WIWA trailer already looks like the game could be in an advanced state of development unlike ZA’s first reveal trailer 2 years before it launched. 6. Pokopia was always planned to be a spin-off,and they did not anticipate it would be so successful(didn’t make or send enough copies out),and essentially take the place of a Pokémon game for 2026 7. The truth is many people knew the entire contents of the Pokémon Day Presents weeks before the Presents happened, and one thing that wasn’t in question was the release date. Instead everyone was shocked to see 2027. All of this to say… I could be wrong but something weird is going on, and I don’t think WIWA in 2027 isn’t what fans think it is. Maybe Game Freak will use the extra time to make WIWA the best, or maybe they will move on to the next project. And who knows where this puts its actual release date at🙃

Another potential Pokémon battle mechanic change: Paralysis seems to have a lower effect on speed now or the lowering speed effect has been removed completely.

@FrostedYukio On Scarlet and Violet Natural Cure doesn’t nullify the speed drop from paralysis immediately so if not a Paralysis change then it would be a buff to Natural Cure

The era of cheap consoles is over. PS5 now costs $150-$200 more than on launch and we have $900 consoles. Will Nintendo follow soon?

A reminder of the new Pokémon Champions stat system. IVs are gone (now confirmed) and set to 31 IVs permanently. SPs replace EVs and the computation is simplified.
