We tend to think of "brain breaks" as downtime, but a 2021 study says they're "just as important as practice in learning a new skill.” 🧠 🧵 1/11

There are enough fault-finders in this world, we need more encouragers. Focus this week on encouraging others: Build others up one thought, one word, one conversation, and one action at a time.

A repost from one year ago, but one worth reposting. :) Vocabulary knowledge is 1 of the largest contributors to reading comprehension. According to Stahl & Nagy(2006), vocabulary knowledge contributes 50-60% of the variance in reading comprehension. A consistent vocabulary instructional routine is a powerful tool every teacher needs in their tool box! You can access these instructional routines through the QR code in this video or at this link: drive.google.com/file/d/12LiK2X…

Improving the aesthetics of a school cafeteria is an essential step towards creating a healthy and positive learning environment for students. A well-designed cafeteria can have a significant impact on students' moods, behavior, and academic performance. By creating a space that is visually appealing and comfortable, students will feel more relaxed and motivated to engage with their peers during lunch. Furthermore, a beautiful cafeteria can also contribute to the overall pride and sense of belonging that students feel towards their school community. Check out this amazing transformation by our friends at @AmTab. That cafeteria is unrecognizable, outstanding work 👏🏼 👏🏼
