Woohoo, it's Friday, but that's not the only reason we're excited! Our crews installed Durham's first parking protected bike lanes this week on North Miami Boulevard as part of the CMAQ bike lane project. The CMAQ contractor did the installation with assistance from the Sign Shop.

Exciting traffic calming countermeasures were put into place this week by our department and public works within the Southside Community. We installed speed cushions along East/West Enterprise Street and a Neighborhood Traffic Circle at Enterprise and Fargo.

@DurhamComplete There is typically a UPS return label in the box that takes care of the return. This is convenient for me as sometimes I only get free returns if I take it to Whole Foods which is out of the way.

Somberly quiet, the Ride of Silence recognizes people killed or injured while biking. Seeing the ride organized by @BikeDurham — without the usual joy and noise of a group ride — caught me off guard, until it was ending. Over 100 cyclists went by without a word.
