UNPOPULAR OPINION BUT a PLAYER one (and not opinion from someone that wont even try to compete for the top 4 in RBW LADDER) Just saw they will allow only one account in RBW dedicated ladder. Why is it horribly bad for a player This ladder is not a normal ladder, in a normal ladder banning smurfs is a good thing for many reasons that have been said multiples times already. Elo points usually have 0 interest so is smurfing. Now lets talk about redbull wololo ladder, Players will fight in this ladder for many months for a a spot in RBW and a lot of money. Many months of tryhard is already pretty stressfull if you have to watch ladder everyday try your best to win each game and be around top 4 to have a chance when the final rush will come. Now lets say you ban alternative account, many players are streamers, many players dont want to fully tryhard every ladder game, many players dont want to be insanely focus everygame and sometimes try fun things or chill. An alternative account when there is a lot of money on the line can be insanely useful for top players to try things, have fun, train, stream their games while interacting with chat and many other reasons. Banning them will lead to players tryharding the redbull ladder only offline when the deadline will be closer, will lead to many months of "this game might the one that will eliminate me later" will lead to players not playing at all in the ladder when they are in or close to top 4 will lead to players choosing their opponent (you can still do it even with the dashboard queing function being disabled) will then lead to players playing less in the ladder to reduce the risk of losing elo if they have a high elo will lead to massive reduction of played and streamed game little by little. This ladder is not a ladder but a qualification, banning alt account in the normal ladder is really good, banning alt account in the redbull ladder wont lead to an healtier competition. and will be a nightmare for many players that want to try to compete. I saw admins, casters, people from the community saying "oh finally this shouldve be done way sooner" In the normal ladder yes In redbull ladder, Thats the worst idea possible and will deteriorate players qualification experience a lot, Experience that is already very bad because of the choice of the laddder to qualify players. Hope they will change that for redbull ladder. Hope they will use it in the normal ladder.
