Oh Jesus. The snooker tonight. The 20th frame between Neil Robertson and John Higgins was, honestly, poetic. (Bit stoned). (No spoilers as I’m watching it as live) (X)

Oh the snooker is so amazingly brilliant this year. Honestly, if you’ve never watched it - a couple of years ago I convinced my girlfriend into watching a bit, now she is also hooked and watching it together is honestly my favourite part of the week.

Meant to say. Yungblud was great. He’s obviously a force of nature, and what a great voice. The support band ‘The Warning’ were absolutely brilliant too, top stuff. Great big riffs, great tunes. Off to see Creeper tonight. Excited for that. I love going to gigs, me. X

@ChrisCatalyst Actually Chris, thinking of Ren's sucess, have you tried the 'Reactor' approach? Your new project would absolutely thrive in that environment and could lead top a bit more promotion on solo, EM and other stuff too. Just a thought.

I’m not angry about the bands doing this. I’m just sad that music/art is less of a meritocracy than it ever has been, prioritising marketing and ‘content’, and and the algorithm doing its best to keep the top 0.1% in the public eye. It’s not new, but it’s worse than ever. Hard.

@Polly_Phluid Yeah - he’s doing that thing where it’s very visual and interesting on lots of levels. It requires big ideas, and, sadly, money/contacts/connections that not all of us have…. You know the script. He’s excellent, by the way. No shade on Ren.

@ChrisCatalyst Yeah, I see that too - musicians that have to become 'content' creators just to get by. I'm a big fan of Ren and he seems to surround himself with creatives and they all benefit from his success and he from theirs - which I guess is the independent version a company

@Polly_Phluid Oh there’s LOADS of great stuff out there, I just think it’s harder and harder to GET it out there without a big old marketing budget and loads of knowledge about peddling content and the like.

@ChrisCatalyst I dunno Chris, I found Ren, Kid Kapichi and Bob Vylan through reels n Til Tok - so it's like it always was, some stuff is great, some stuff is shit. N the shit stuff with sell in buckets 🤣
