I made him earn every victory and stole a few from him along the way. We took our shots at each other, in the media and on the track. But I’d like to think that somewhere deep down there was an appreciation that we pushed each other to perform at the highest level, even if neither of us would’ve admitted it. Tonight, I feel a little like the coyote with no more roadrunner to chase. His loss is all of our loss, but none more so than his family’s. Thinking of Samantha, and Brexton and Lennix who lost their father today.

sitting here reading all of these posts and it feels really nice to see everyone say really kind and remarkable things about kyle but i also just feel frozen. there are tears but i feel outside of my body and self right now. nothing feels real. i just can’t believe it :(

We are devastated to hear of the passing of our friend and partner, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch. We began working with Kyle and his team at Richard Childress Racing three years ago, sponsoring him for NASCAR races. That relationship quickly grew as we came to recognize his ambition, kindness, and generosity. On the track, he was one of the greatest of all time as the winningest driver in NASCAR history, with a combined total of 234 wins across all three of the sport's national series. Off the track, he was an even more legendary father, husband and friend. The Morgan and Busch relationship will live on through his son, Brexton, and his incredible family. We are sending love to Samantha, Brexton, Lennix and the entire Richard Childress Racing Team and NASCAR community.

Our hearts are broken for Samantha, Brexton, Lennix, and the entire Busch family. Kyle was an incredible competitor, teammate, husband, father, and son whose impact on NASCAR will never be forgotten. The Gibbs family and everyone at JGR are lifting the Busch family in prayer.

Shocked and sad like everyone else. Last saw Kyle on pit road at Darlington earlier this year and we shared a laugh and a hug. Loved texting with him about Brexton. My heart goes out to Samantha and their sweet kids and the rest of the family. So so sad. 🙏🙏🙏

Kyle gave me the best opportunity I ever had in racing. He was an incredible mentor, leader, and hero to so many. He made dreams a reality for young racers and coached them along the way. He is the pinnacle of our sport. I am praying for his family.

FOX Sports just put this graphic on TV following a replay of Kyle Busch’s final NASCAR win at Dover Motor Speedway last weekend. Man, it still doesn’t feel real. It might never feel real.
