Let’s look at one of the big new influences this election: the emergence of advertising spend by non major parties. The ad buy of UAP significantly surpassed the major parties. The latest figures show estimated TV ad spend by UAP on $4.3m, Labor $ 1.5m and LNP $570k #AusVotes22

Preferences will get teal independent Kylea Tink over the line in #NorthSydney, defeating Liberal MP Trent Zimmerman. Tink supports reform to vehicle and fuel emissions standards. Another seat of a former Liberal Treasurer, Joe Hockey, has fallen at this election. #AusVotes22

It looks like Labor’s Carina Garland will take the seat of Chisholm from Liberal Gladys Liu. Nearly 53% of the vote has been counted and on current projections Labor will take the seat with a 2PP 55-44. #ausvotes #ausvotes22

Labor's Gordon Reid takes the seat of #Robertson from third term Liberal MP Lucy Wicks. Robertson has been represented by a Government MP since 1983. #AusVotes #AusVotes2022

The first ‘teal’ has taken a seat. Allegra Spender takes Wentworth from Lib Dave Sharma. 23,000 of the votes counted, it’s enough to call #AusVotes #AusVotes22

Now for a bush seat - there’s a 7.5% primary swing against Labor in #Lingiari in early numbers. Usually the first booths to be counted in the NT are the remote indigenous communities. There’s 12k votes counted, but more time needed for a clearer picture here #AusVotes #AusVotes22

Keep an eye on #Higgins - 18.2% of the vote is counted and there is a 5.3% swing to Labor away from the Liberals. Liberal MP Katie Allen is suffering a -9.6% swing and Labor's Michelle Ananda-Rajah has a +4.2% swing. Labor may hold the seat for the first time ever. #AusVotes22
