“An alternative Nightbitch by way of a tentacle exorcism” is a heck of a way to grab my attention. I’m spending the weekend with Desirée De Fez’s DON’T LEAVE HER ALONE (translated by Lizzie Davis), which will hit shelves later this year (I think?), from Putnam.

It took 30 years, but I got there. Finally. Tomorrow I’m on a horror panel at B&N Union Square with Joe Hill, M.L. Rio, Olivie Blake and Andrew Joseph White. A bit of a dream come true, yeah? I even unearthed the book Tim Burton signed, just for ol’ times sake. Hope to see you.

When I first moved to NYC, the first book signing I ever went to was to see Tim Burton at B&N Union Square. I was eighteen and he was promoting a book of stories he wrote and illustrated. I was an aspiring writer and I dreamed of doing an event on the 4th floor one day…
