As part of CMD Kenya’s effort to strengthen inclusive governance and participation of Special Interest Groups, on Day 2 of the 8th edition of the People Dialogue Festival (@thePDFestival) we co-convened a civic education session with @UDPKenya and funding support from @IrlEmbKenya . The discussion unpacked the Persons With Disabilities, Act 2025-from legal rights to real-life impact. Persons with disabilities shared their experiences pushing for real change in education, healthcare, employment, justice and politics. Let’s make access a reality, one conversation at a time #fomnidialogue.

We hosted the Mombasa Townhall under the FCDO/KISP programme, bringing together government representatives, civil society actors, and community members to engage in meaningful dialogue on governance, accountability, and service delivery. The forum provided a platform for citizens to share their perspectives and contribute to shaping more responsive and inclusive development.

Beyond being a platform for dialogue, @thePDFestival provides space for citizens and public institutions to connect and access services that strengthen our democracy. At #PDF2026, the @IEBCKenya was on site registering new voters, giving many young people the opportunity to take their first step into civic participation. But registration is only the beginning democracy is strongest when citizens not only sign up to vote, but also show up and exercise that right when the time comes. 🗳️ #FormNiDialogue

We appreciate the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (@IEBCKenya) for conducting an on-ground voter registration exercise at the People Dialogue Festival.
