IF WE DON’T START TALKING ABOUT DATA CENTERS NOW. WE LOSE EVERYTHING.
WATER. ENERGY. LAND.
THIS IS BIGGER THAN MOST PEOPLE REALIZE.
Global data centers already consume 415 TWh of electricity (1.5% of the world’s total in 2024) and by 2030? Projected to hit 945 TWh nearly double in 4 years, rivaling entire countries’ power use.
In the US alone: 176 TWh (4.4% of national electricity) today, heading toward 6-12% by 2028. One hyperscale campus can suck as much power as 100,000+ homes.
They’re guzzling billions of gallons of water daily for cooling. enough to stress rivers, lakes, and entire communities while blacking out grids. This isn’t “progress.” It’s an unchecked explosion of AI infrastructure that’s about to spike your electric bills, drain local water, and reshape energy policy for decades.
We need transparency, smart regluation, and real debate before Big Tech owns the future and we pay the price
