Nikki Osborne, who was travelling from Brisbane Airport to the Whitsunday Islands for work, was humiliated and degraded when a staff member at the lounge approached her.
Osborne, who was wearing tailored white shorts and a knitted white cardigan over the top of a pink bodysuit, which the female staffer said may be offensive to other cultures.
“She grabbed me by the arm and said ill need you to button your cardigan up to cover yourself to protect the other cultures in the lounge”
A Qantas spokesman said “To ensure an enjoyable experience when customers are visiting our lounges, we ask that they follow our smart casual dress guidelines”
As Tony Burke said immigrants don’t need to “assimilate”
We need to “assimilate” to them.
Diversity is our strength.

ABORIGINAL HERITAGE SITE DESTROYED on Seis family farm despite “No Entry - Environmental Protection Zone” flags.
Family protected this land 5 generations, identified grinding grooves. NSW Gov, EnergyCo & ACEREZ cut through barriers & felled trees anyway.
Farmers face endless costly loopholes, permits & fines just to dig a hole or fix a fence on their own property under heritage laws. Yet governments ignore their own rules when pushing renewables.
This selective “protection” is pure virtue signalling heavy burdens on landowners, weak enforcement when it suits the agenda.
