Context/Details: Zachary Stoddard, who gained brief fame for appearing on the cover art of XXXTentacion's breakout single "Look at Me!" has been sentenced to ten years in prison for attempted second-degree murder and battery. The Broward State Attorney's Office confirmed that Stoddard received his sentence on May 10, 2024, from Judge John J. Murphy III. Upon his release, he will also face two years of house arrest and three years of probation. Stoddard, known by his rap name Kid Pronto, was only twelve when he appeared on the cover art of the viral song in December 2015. The cover photo showed him as a preteen smoking a blunt, which he had sent as a joke to a group chat including XXXTentacion, who decided to use it as his next song's cover. However, Stoddard's life took a darker turn after his moment of fame. On April 27th, 2019, outside a home in Pompano Beach, Florida, Zachary Stoddard allegedly stabbed Keith Tatton in the chest and a major artery in his groin. The stabbing occurred while Keith was defending a passenger in a car who was arguing with Stoddard. Stoddard used a pocketknife to carry out the attack, which left Keith in critical condition. Keith had to be placed on life support for over three weeks and underwent multiple surgeries. Despite Stoddard's claims that he acted in self-defense, evidence and witness accounts suggest that he taunted Keith as he lay motionless on the ground. At the time of the incident, Stoddard was only 16, but prosecutors decided to try him as an adult due to the severity of his actions. Stoddard's troubled history includes previous legal issues.
