Defence Doggy retweetledi

An Indian woman, Darshita Gupta, is currently in the UK. She made a reel saying she felt safer playing Holi in the UK than in her own country.
Now she has become an influencer who constantly talks about how bad Indian men are.
I forwarded her reel to a white British girl (met on X) who’s been to India multiple times and played Holi too.
I asked her: “Did you face any inappropriate touching from men?”
She replied: “A couple of guys tried applying color in an inappropriate way, but the rest were super respectful. I actually had a lot of fun. I even went to temples with them later.”
I replied: “Hopefully it will become as safe as the UK one day.”
She replied: “I felt way more comfortable playing Holi in India than at UK music festivals. Men harass you a lot here. Bad men exist everywhere, but after travelling in North and South India, I found Indian men more respectful and fun to be around.”
Look, different people have different experiences.
But let’s be honest, Holi has become a tool to guilt-trip and shame Indian men. The festival is also losing its dharmic, fun vibe.
Instead we’re flooded with reels of Indian women in booty shorts and crop tops, drunk
They made it like that tomato festival in Spain "La Tomatina"
Or they make reels playing victim, saying Holi is festival used as an excuse for “molestation”.
I want Holi safe for every woman.
But aren’t you all feeling compressed by this constant targeting and western dehatification of our beautiful dharmic festival?
