2/2. An early appearance of bare ice/firn enhances the surface melt due to the melt-albedo feedback and suggests huge mass lost in this area for the end of this summer. SMB anomaly is already negative in the South. Warmer conditions, due to negative NAO index, are expected after.

For the first time in 2023 the Greenland US Summit Camp station rose above the freezing point with some decimals above 0C. The station is located at more than 3300m and it's even slightly colder than the previous Danish Summit Station. Above freezing temperatures are uncommon.
Controversial view here. After this, I am going to stop sharing this graph and information, as I do not believe that it is helpful climate communication. It robs people of agency and pushes fear with an inability to act. I haven't seen much info on what we can do about this.
