Happy Trans Day of Visibility, St. Louis! Today, we celebrate the lives, bravery, and resilience of our transgender and gender diverse community. But in a time of constant attacks on the rights and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community, visibility alone is not enough — the political moment we are in now calls for resistance and action. We must fight back against attacks on trans healthcare, challenge and dismantle systems rooted in harm and exclusion, and work to build a future where all people are able to live freely, safely, and with dignity. Trans rights are human rights.

Last election, we saw AIPAC, cryptocurrency PACs, and other outside money groups spend millions to try and stop our movement. This year, our campaign is mobilizing a grassroots movement to fight to resist Trump’s fascism, end his illegal wars overseas, and abolish ICE. But politicians who are bankrolled by the same MAGA billionaire donors as the president aren’t up for that fight. When I’m back in Congress, I’ll keep delivering for St. Louis, and I won’t be afraid to stand up to the Trump administration to make sure our communities get the investment they deserve.

I'm introducing two resolutions standing with the people of Lebanon against the U.S.-backed Israeli invasion. The first resolution calls on the United States to force an end to the Israeli military invasion, reject threats of the illegal occupation of Lebanese territory, investigate and prosecute war crimes, and support the right of return of all displaced Lebanese to their homes.

Yesterday in downtown STL, everyday people came together to make our demands: No War No ICE No Genocide What we need is real investment in our communities here in St. Louis, not tax dollars spent on abducting our neighbors or funding the war machine overseas. When I’m back in Congress, I’ll fight this fascist administration, and I’ll make sure that our families get the childcare, jobs, and education that they deserve.

Yes, standing up for human rights is the most basic litmus test. Our party needs a new moral direction.

This is our God: Jesus, King of Peace, who rejects war, whom no one can use to justify war. He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them, saying: “Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen: your hands are full of blood” (Is 1:15).

Today, we rallied in and marched in Downtown St. Louis to fight back against Trump's fascism and demand the abolition of ICE and an end to the genocide in Gaza. Together with members of our community from across the St. Louis area, we made it clear that we won't stand for ICE agents in our neighborhoods, our tax dollars being used to kill innocent people overseas, or a president who wants to rule like a king. #NoKings

I’m so excited to have #JewsforCori by my side once again for 2026. Jews for Cori did incredible work last election, knocking doors across St. Louis to talk to voters about the issues that matter. This year, we’re doing the same, but getting started even earlier, to build our grassroots movement to win.

The U.N. resolution to formally recognize the trans-Atlantic slave trade as the “gravest crime against humanity” was long overdue. Article: reuters.com/sustainability… Millions of Africans were stolen, trafficked, and subjected to inhuman conditions across generations. This was not a moment in history. It was a vicious system. And its impact is still with us. Kingian Nonviolence calls us to face truth without denial and to confront injustice at its root. We cannot move toward the Beloved Community without acknowledging the depth of harm and committing to the work required to address it, including reparations. Acknowledgment is a step. It’s clear from the overwhelming support in the UN that the world is ready for reparations. When I was in Congress, I introduced historic legislation to hold the federal government accountable for its role in the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, address systemic racism, and close the racial wealth gap. When I’m back, I’ll keep fighting for a holistic reparations program to address the ongoing legacies of chattel slavery, Jim Crow, and present-day anti-Black policies.

To be clear, the president’s views are those of a white supremacist and his own administration members say so. This should be the second-biggest domestic scandal in American politics (the first being Trump’s documented ties to a notorious child sex offender and trafficker).

I had such a great time on 314 Day this year! But if you know me, you know that I celebrate St. Louis every day of the year. And when I’m back in Congress, I’ll go right back to fighting for us in DC to make sure that we get the housing, education, and healthcare that our families deserve.

I was honored to share the stage last night with @ibramxk to talk about the ideas shaping the political moment we’re in now and how to fight back against authoritarianism. It was so incredible to hear his insights as we discussed his new book, Chain of Ideas, with community members in St. Louis County. The differences between me and the incumbent in this race are clear: I’ve never taken millions from corporations, special interests, and Donald Trump’s biggest donors. I’m not afraid to fight back against Trump’s attacks on our democracy, vote for him to be impeached, and call for ICE to be abolished. When I’m back in Congress, I’ll keep leading in the fights that matter and delivering record federal funding to St. Louis. STL deserves a Representative who will lead on the legislation that our community needs, not just participate.
