Canton are now unbeaten in three games, after they drew 0-0 last Sunday at home to Croesyceiliog. They have also gone 280 minutes since they last conceded in the 80th minute of their 3-2 defeat against Cwmbran Town, a 2-0 win at home to Caldicot and a 3-0 win at Undy pleasing Manager Dan Tanhai. Meanwhile Caerphilly Athletic won 5-2 last weekend at Lliswerry, their seventh Ardal Southern win on the bounce. Their German midfielder Maximilian Franke opened the scoring on 28 minutes from a Drew Perrett assist, before the home side pulled a goal back 3 minutes later. However Jason Gardiner restored the Caerphilly lead on 36 minutes, Perret setting up the opportunity, before he got in on the scoring act himself on the stroke of half time after good work from Franke. It was all but over on 56 minutes as Perrett added his second of the game, Franke again assisting, before the home side gave themselves brief hope of a comeback on 78 minutes.
