Did you know...
In The Fugitive, scene with the parade was not scripted originall but an impromptu addition by director Andrew Davis, a Chicago native who wanted to capture the energy of the city's real parade. He got permission from the mayor's office to film on the actual day of the event (March 17, 1993).
They filmed during the genuine Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade on Dearborn Street in the Loop, rather than staging a fake one. This added authentic chaos and crowd density.

Wasting a massive amount of tax dollars to infill Lake Ontario is wrong. And this isn’t just about a convention centre. I don’t believe it. It looks more like the Ford government is actively moving toward taking over city lands- Exhibition Place.
