With long end bond yields looking like they want to break out to the upside it is likely that interest expense on the debt surpasses Social Security spending sooner than most expect. If you think the cost of capital is going to fall you may want to check your priors. We have entered a new era of sustained higher interest rates and you need to prepare accordingly. If you don't understand how bitcoin protects you in this new environment, you need to spend time educating yourself.

Anthropic has not cracked a bitcoin wallet in the sense that it broken into a specific one it targeted. An 11 year old wallet’s password was forgotten. The man had kept 5 BTC inside, which is worth roughly $400,000 today. He knew the password was saved somewhere in his old laptop, so he made Claude scrape it. The attempt was successful. That’s it. Don’t fall for FUD.
