@stationmum101 Sheeeesh. Can't you even just try and be nice to tourists wanting to visit. I think you should pop up a little street library at the driveway entrance. Maybe even a little gas cooker and a coffee pot.

Just a little steak, (29cm pan if anyone was wondering) homegrown grassfed beef can't beat it. #stationlife #redmeat

@stationmum101 We discussed Aust Post a while back re deliveries. Tell them the fridge you ordered is actually a big letter. If it makes you feel any better we are 8 days to get a washing machine part from Sydney to Rural GPO Tasmania. 70kms from Hobart.

Fuck you very much to the stupid property addressing scheme. Freight companies & most retailers only accept the 'official' address. Which means my freight all goes to...Alice Springs. And gets 'held for collection' because they 'attempted to make a delivery, but it was unsuccessful.' And is 500km away and I have to spend hours on the phone trying to explain to the call centre where I *actually* live and why I am not making a 1000km round trip to collect something.

@MatthewWielicki 15000 years ago the land bridge existed from mainland Australia to Tasmania. The ocean has risen 60 meters since then. AVG 4mm per year.

15,000 years ago, the American West held massive inland seas... Lake Bonneville and Lake Lahontan. Today, they’re mostly gone. No industry. No emissions. Just natural climate variability driving huge changes. Climate has never been static, and pretending we can fine-tune it with policy is not science, it’s hubris. Worse, those policies often restrict affordable energy… keeping billions in energy poverty. Reliable energy means clean water, food, medicine, and resilience. Denying that in the name of “climate stability” isn’t just misguided... it’s immoral.

I can't see them but I can hear the black cockatoos screeching around the river. Means there's bad weather on the way. #oldtassiewivestale

@JEChalmers Thanks for nothing. A few cents or $ on purchase to the customer who chooses to use a high interest rate card. For all their own reasons of convenience or reward points. Nil for a debit card and nil for cash. While a SME cops min. 10 to 20k transaction fees from bottom line.

BREAKING: Australians will no longer pay $1.6bn in card surcharges from October 1. People shouldn’t be punished for using a credit or debit card. That's why the Reserve Bank will today take steps to end credit and debit card surcharging from October 1. This change will make a meaningful difference with Australians no longer paying $1.6 bn a year in surcharges, and small businesses will save $910m.

To further crush the souls of my team, the owner has decided we can't wear just any old colour top under our scrubs. Now we can only wear black or blue. Even white is out. This is from a woman who wears scrubs with ducks on them. So guess who spent $54 on 3 black tops today?
