🚨 Telos Safety Alert: Fake TLOS Arbitrage Investment Opportunity / Wrong-Network Deposit Scams Scammers are targeting TLOS holders with fake “arbitrage” opportunities. This is a form of pig butchering: they build trust with small transactions that appear to work, then push victims to send a much larger amount. ⚠️ How it works Scammers may guide users to a real exchange deposit screen — but for the wrong asset or network. Example: a deposit account like Binance’s Hive address bdhivesteem may be real for Hive, but that does not make it valid for TLOS on Telos. They may say: “Copy this exchange deposit account/memo, withdraw TLOS from another exchange, and you’ll profit from the spread.” The account name or memo may look legitimate because it came from a real exchange page — but if the page is for Hive, Vaulta/A, or another network, it is not proof the exchange supports TLOS deposits on Telos. 🧠 Key rule A real exchange deposit screen can still be the wrong deposit screen. The asset + network + account/address + memo must all match exactly. ✅ If sending TLOS on Telos, the exchange deposit page must explicitly support TLOS/Telos deposits. 🚩 Red flags - “Special” TLOS arbitrage route - Instructions from Telegram/WhatsApp/Discord/X - Using Hive, Vaulta/A, or another network’s deposit details for TLOS - Claims that TLOS will credit as another asset - Pressure to act fast - Small test deposits used as “proof” the route works Small successful deposits may just be bait. 🔐 Stay safe - Only use deposit details from the exchange’s official page for the exact asset/network - Never mix networks because someone says it’s an arbitrage trick - Verify with the exchange before sending - If something feels confusing, stop — confusion is the scam - If it sounds too good to be true it almost always is A familiar account name is not proof of custody. The network matters.
